How should our products be stored and how long do they last?

Cake Truffles - Store your cake truffles in the refrigerator (for up to three weeks) or freezer (for up to three months).

Cakes - Store your cake in the refrigerator (for up to three days) or in the freezer (for up to three months). When you receive your cake, refrigerate it and store it at room temperature 30 minutes to one hour before serving.

Cookie Cakes - Store your cookie in the refrigerator (for up to three days) or in the freezer (for up to three months). When you receive your cookie cake, refrigerate it and store it at room temperature one to two hours before serving.

Brownie Box - Store your brownies at room temperature for up to two days. Refrigerate brownies for up to one week and freeze for up to three months.

Cookie Tins - Store your cookie tin at room temperature for up to one week. Store your tin in the freezer for up to one month and defrost the cookies at room temperature.

Are any of your products Kosher?

At this time, we are not certified Kosher.

Are any of your products Vegan?

Our products are not FDA certified Vegan, however we do have Vegan products produced without dairy, egg, or animal bi-products. These include our Vegan Chocolate Chunk Cookie Cake and our Vegan Chocolate Mini Cake. We also produce vegan cupcakes and cake pops for catering orders.

Are any of your products Gluten-Free?

Our products are not FDA certified Gluten-Free, however we do have several Gluten-Free products. These include two of our cake truffle flavors and one of our cookie cake flavors. Additionally, several of our mini desserts for catering orders can be made gluten-free.

Are any of your products Nut-Free?

We don’t include nuts in any of our signature products. Our kitchen does contain nuts, however we wash and sanitize after working with nuts. If you have a severe nut allergy, we wouldn’t recommend enjoying our products.

Shipping

What Shipping Options are available?

FedEx Ground is our standard shipping method, which takes approximately one to five business days for your package to arrive, depending on your distance from the Mini Melanie fulfillment center in Brooklyn, NY. During summer, we ship ground mail only to addresses with an expected one to two days of transit from our kitchen. Addresses at a certain distance from our kitchen will have 2-day or overnight mail options, only, at checkout. This is to ensure that your package arrives in the quality condition we stand for. If you need your package to arrive on a specific date, we suggest opting for express shipping, as there have been delays with FedEx service due to Covid-19.

What is your shipping schedule?

We ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays with FedEx Express and Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays with FedEx Ground. Orders placed by 2pm EST will ship on the same date - if placed on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and Thursday (Ground only).

Are you offering local delivery?

We are offering local delivery for orders of $50 or more. Delivery fees are based on zip codes.

What is your refund and cancellation policy?

Mini Melanie will issue a refund on orders cancelled seven business days prior to the delivery date. The request for a refund must be placed over email, to info@minimelanie.com with the subject line: Order Refund - xxx order #. Mini Melanie will fulfill a refund within 10 business days. There is a $25 administrative fee to process your refund. Custom orders may not be subject to a full refund and will be refunded at the discretion of Mini Melanie, as per materials procured for the custom order.

How are your products shipped?

We take the utmost care in shipping our products, so that the chocolate arrives to you in beautiful condition. All of our orders are packed by our shipping specialists and include frozen ice packs and temperature controlled insulation to ensure outside conditions will not impact the shipment. The insulation is environmentally-friendly and produced from recycled water bottles, and the ice packs can be reused.

What are your Shipping Policies?

Mini Melanie is not responsible for delays in transit caused by package volume, weather, mechanical error, strikes, natural disasters, terrorism safety control, local carrier mis-scans or inaccurate/incomplete shipping information, and we do not require a signature for the release of any shipment. Leaving a package at an address is ultimately up to the discretion of the individual delivery person and is therefore entirely outside our control.

Mini Melanie does not require a signature for the delivery of most of its packages. Mini Melanie is not responsible for packages that require a signature but are not delivered because no one is home to sign.

Customers are responsible for checking that all shipping information is correct before submitting an order as well as in their order confirmation email. If you need to modify the delivery address once your order has shipped, a $17 address change processing fee will apply to your order. Once an address modification is requested, carriers require one business day to process the change, which may delay the package.

There are no returns, refunds or cancellations allowed on any orders that have shipped.

All packages are shipped via UPS or FedEx and therefore we cannot ship to P.O. Box addresses.

Placing An Order

Can I place an order now to be delivered on a future date?

Yes! We can definitely do that for you. During the checkout process, simply select "Future Delivery Date" and specify your desired date of delivery.

Can I place an order with multiple shipping addresses?

We do not support multiple shipping addresses at this time, but we are full-service. If you are interested in Drop Shipping Services for 10 or more addresses, we are happy to take care of all the details for you. Contact us for details.

We are passionate about your experience with our brand and products. Your order will arrive in excellent condition, containing the elegant packaging and quality chocolate customers expect from us. Custom Work

Can I request a custom gift box?

Yes, we can work with you on branding a custom gift box, or with a specific order minimum we can source a different gift box. See our party favors page (link) and corporate gifts page (link) for details.

I am planning a special event. Can I order in bulk?

Yes, we do offer single piece bulk orders with a purchase minimum. Price per piece varies by piece. Contact us and a member of our team will contact you with additional information.

Can you provide me with a sample gift box?

We can provide samples for custom work. The fee ranges based on the request and begins at $60.

Where to Find Us

Where are you located?

Our commissary kitchen and packaging warehouse is located at 630 Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. It’s a large commercial building and our studio is on the 5th floor. All visits are by appointment only for pickups or tastings. Pickups for an order placed online are Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm.

Classes

Do you offer classes?

We offer virtual baking classes for all occasions with DIY kits shipped in time for the classes.
