Mini Melanie was founded in 2015 by Melanie and Diana Moss. Growing up as close as sisters can be in a family where dessert is everything, Melanie and Diana always had complementary skill sets but never dreamed they’d be business partners. Their separate paths before Mini Melanie built an incredible foundation for their partnership.
Starting at age six mixing pastry dough alongside their Viennese grandma, Melanie’s childhood baking hobby steadily grew into an obsession. While attending Northwestern University, Melanie studied in Paris and was Sous Chef at Cours de Cuisine atelier. She later attended the Institute of Culinary Education and honed her craft in the Michelin-starred kitchens of Babbo and Blue Hill at Stone Barns, where she was Head Baker and Pastry Sous Chef.
Melanie’s desserts have been recognized in the 2016 New York City Michelin guide, and in 2018, Melanie became Champion of a special-themed chocolate competition on Food Network’s CHOPPED. In September 2021, Melanie competed against Beat Bobby Flay again on Food Network in a chocolate challenge and wowed Bobby with her chocolate truffles and chocolate eclair.

Human rights lawyer turned entrepreneur, Diana brings passion for flawless operations and delivering superior service to Mini Melanie’s customers.
Prior to Mini Melanie, Diana ran various sales and operations teams over the course of eight years at onefinestay, a hospitality startup now part of Accor Hotels. She graduated from Emory University and lived and worked in London.
